CASA has a fam system designed to promote close relationships between both general members and board members. Each fam is led by a CASA E-board member and is part of one of three legacies: Dragon Empire, Phoenix Kingdom, and Tiger Dynasty. CASA general members have the option to rank their preference of fam. Throughout each semester at USC, fams hold bonding events such as food runs, study sessions, and fun excursions, and compete against other fams in differing legacies during "Fam Wars."​​
